I have been so very blessed in so many ways. it was an honor to travel to NYC to deliver 2 of my pieces for 2 different juried shows. Both pieces were exhibited at the Salmagundi Club, America’s oldest art organization and New York’s Oldest art club. The piece next to me is “Dreamboat”, a bas relief and remembrance of sailing with my brother. It also posits the benefits of pursuing dreams.

Here is Daydreamer. Bas-relief is one of my favorite forms of sculpture. It is ancient - and is often seen in coins for example. I enjoy giving this art form a new twist - like a young man daydreaming with his headphones on.

When I was a little girl, I remember traveling with my mom to NYC and walking 5th Avenue. Never would I have dreamt that my art would one day be exhibited on 5th Avenue, as I held my mom’s hand and window-shopped.

I have been very lucky and was honored to receive the People’s Choice Award at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. Of course, I think my dog, who was named Dude, is adorable as he reaches for his ball, so who am I to argue!
